Producer and President
Yves has worked in the media and entertainment field including the creation of virtual characters for nearly 20 years. As executive producer, he managed the productions of Klik Animation and is the president of Productions Vox Populi with an 88% share of its property. Yves is credited with the production of a dozen of animated series in computer graphics and the development of over a hundred virtual characters of all kinds. A former television director, Yves is content driven, employing digital technology to create new concepts intended to entertain the widest audience possible.
Strategic Advisor – CEIM
A lawyer by profession, Pierre was President of Artmedia, one of the first multimedia companies in Quebec. Thereafter, Pierre became Corporate Strategies VP at FRIMA STUDIO for 10 years, which during his tenure exhibited extraordinary growth from 20 to 350 employees and became the largest independent studio in Canada. Today Pierre is the principal new media strategic advisor for the CIEM, a business incubator specializing in the management of TIC start-up companies. Pierre works closely with the Neweb.tv management team to support its strategic positioning during its development stage.
Laurent Abecassis is a technical director with extensive experience in 3D character animation as well as visual effects and software development. He is a certified Autodesk instructor who teaches in the school of Digital Arts, Entertainment and Design in Montreal and a specialized instructor for numerous companies around the world as well Cirque du Soleil and Ubisoft in Quebec. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded the company Klik Animation with Yves St-Gelais and supervised the special effects at Digital Dimension. It is in this position that he won an Emmy for "Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series" for the celebrated series LOST. He is currently founder and president of Di-O-Matic, a company that has produced and distributed more than 25 animation software programs specializing in animation. This software is used by leading studios (Disney, WB, etc.) and contributes daily to the production of several major successful ventures in film, television and the video game industry.
Benoit is a chief modeler and virtual sculptor who has created hundreds of human and animal characters. He has an extensive knowledge of human anatomy. His work is noteworthy for its accuracy of the desired shape and also by an organic approach that takes in consideration both human bodybuilding and the optimization of model by making it lightweight and easy to animate. Benoit has also developed an expertise in recent years for the creation of realistic facial textures and hair styles. In addition to working full time for Klik Animation and subsequently for Vox Populi productions, Benoit is often asked to model characters for commercials and gaming projects.
Cedrick has worked for Vox Populi since 2009 and has quickly distinguished himself as a versatile and talented artist. He spent most of his career at Vox Populi. In a few years, Cedrick went from a technician in motion capture to a senior modeler. Recently Cedric developed another area of expertise in 3D characters design. We therefore hired him for the design of the Human Interface characters.
Director of Technology
Holding an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Southampton University and a PhD in electronics from the University of Lancaster in England, Mahmoud accumulated over 20 years of experience in the fields of electronics, technology of information and networking. Since 2008 when he joined the team of Productions Vox Populi, he is involved in all aspects of infrastructure architecture. His responsibilities in our primary intellectual property exploitation project includes system management, performance improvement, the evolution capacity of equipment, security of information and the resilience and data recovery capability to ensure continuity of operations.
Mr. Vigneau has an experience of over 20 years as a Audio-visual technician, entrepreneurship and professional in the field of business, information technology, communications and business, and corporate culture. Cofounder of Musion Canada in 2007, he served as Vice President of the company where he leads the operations and innovations, team management, strategic planning, budgets and partnerships. Under his leadership, the company acquired eight licenses of international product distribution in the virtual projection systems, tele-presence, interactive systems, from computer vision and to robotics.
Possessing a certificate in communications and another in animation and cultural researches, Elodie has always been into innovation and show business. Self-taught, she learned graphic design at the age of 13. Coming from a family that allowed her to blossomed artistically, Elodie has always had an eye for the art of branding. She has worked as a website project manager, as the executive assistant of a Montreal pop singer and now manages the comedian Ali Day, with whom she has developed a Comedy Show concept that sold out two presentations. Throughout the years she has collaborated significantly on the production of various videos, including directing a series of promotional videos for comedians, a 7-episodes webseries, as well as the executive production of a music video. Through all her experiences, Elodie has developed an uncommon artistic and managerial versatility.
Productions Vox Populi
Produces cartoons and animated tv shows
Vox Populi Productions Inc., produces animated shows and cartoons for television and is equipped with one of the most complete 3D studio in Canada, including motion capture systems, modeling and 3D animations, special effects and audio and video postproduction. The company have been producing Radio-Canada’s Sunday night’s ‘’Et Dieu créa Laflaque’’, now named ‘’ICI Laflaque’’ for the past 12 years. They are renowned for the quality of the production of their characters (mostly Canadian public and political figures) and their exceptional abilities in creating facial animations, a key value for success in this domain. Vox Populi provides the entire IT and technological infrastructure to Neweb.tv for the development and prototyping of their characters.
One of the main holographic projection system providers in Canada and abroad. With Musion we develop live performances of real-time characters in the artistic and event fields. Currently the real-time animation service with interactive characters is not available in the market. Musion envisions a strategic partnership in this new sector as essential and allows the company to offer a new holographic projection to distinguish it even more in the marketplace. On the other hand our partnership with Musion enables Neweb.tv to offer optimized holographic performances for our characters around the world at the highest standards available in this type of projection. Musion regularly exports its pre recorded holographic performances to Canada, USA, Europe and the Middle East.

Di-O-Matic is an independent developer of software for virtual characters. Di-o-matic sells its products worldwide and the largest studios in the world integrate them into their software solutions for their products: Jim Henson, Microsoft, Activision, Disney, etc. Our partnership with Di-o-Matic gives Neweb.tv an absolutely incredible opportunity in the market since we can custom make proprietary software tools to provide great functional and technological value to our characters. Our primary intellectual property exploitation product is conducted in partnership with Di-o-matic, together with whom we develop the software communication protocols between our characters and various artificial intelligence engines on the market.
